About

Shee-wa had an early introduction to music, learning the guitar throughout her childhood. Influenced by classical music and the music of the 80s, she moved between genres from the beginning of her musical journey.

In the 90s, Shee-wa was one of the first professional female rock guitarists in Germany. She shared stages with international artists (Uriah Heep, Joe Cocker), theaters, musicals, cruise ships, countless other projects ranging from rock to classical music.

Following her composition „Japanese Garden“ (1996, The Klang), Shee-wa became a composer for film (Vision-first), TV (Cartoon Network), and commercials. As a session guitarist and songwriter, Shee-wa played for well-known artists like The Rasmus, Frank Fischer (Lou Reed), Andreas Becker (Peter Maffay), Jutta Weinhold, Andreas Zaron, and others.

In 2006, Shee-wa recorded the album „Erdton“ as a tribute to yoga. Two more albums followed – „Sound Ambiences“ (2019) and „Present“ (2015). With the chillhop project „Jelly Tape,“ she creates jazzy guitar-featured songs in the sound of the Lo-Fi era. In 2023, Shee-wa decided to release her music under her name.

Since 2021, Shee-wa has been working on her pop-rock song collection, which she has written over the years. As a DIY artist, she performs all instruments, guitars, singing, and mixing herself.

In addition to her musical work, she is also a guitar teacher at her own guitar school. As a music coach, she particularly supports female musicians.

After years on stage, Shee-wa is now focused on studio work – songwriting, music production, and mixing. She works from her studio in Hamburg.
